The player of the season poll got a record number of votes last year. Things change quick in football.

Last year was a proper contest...about 5 or 6 genuine candidates.

The votes cast thing is a bit dodgy because of the acceptance of on-line votes, some of us hark back to the halcyon days of trying to predict the top 6, using only Adver coupons for voting.

He gets my player of the year vote

The way he handed that shirt to the kid in the DRS was masterful.  A lesson in how to hand over a shirt. tbh.

I agree, Meeshooon for poty.

Good News Everybody.

BBC RS reported that Milan "MI(lack of)A" Misun could return to the first team as early as October. They even had a quote from him, cancel the loch ness defender hunt -  he does exist.

Yes....October.....They did say it was a serious knee injury picked up in his first training session. That or we didn't kick the tyres hard enough on transfer deadline day.

By all accounts he's a quality player just been unlucky with all of his injuries. A Celtic mate of mine said he was close to being in the first 11 at the start of the season before he got injured, they then went on to sign Daniel Majstorovic.

By the time he actually gets fit there's going to be so much expected of him that if he isn't Franz Beckenbauer and Bobby Moore's bastard child he'll be a let down.

if he is that good to be pushing celtic'a first team why did they let him go?  injury record?

I really really hope he isn't a sick note.

I was told after his last injury in the close season 2010, he went further down the pecking order at Celtic and they decided to release him. They rated him high though. AC Milan we're interested in signing him 3 years ago I think.

He has to get back to full fitness and then we'll see what he's capable of.

I assume the club will be reclaiming his wages through their players insurance policy so we may as well keep him and see how he goes when he's recovered.

Do you think we can do that if he was injured when we signed him?

I assume he passsed a medical so that would normally automatically include him on the policy. The club said he got injured during the first training session which, if true, should mean we can get his wages back, or at least a set percentage of them.

Ahh, I just presumed he was injured when we signed him. Fair enough.
