Very surprised at how good these are. Shakin Stevens reinvents himself as Johnny Cash:
Not bad for a 72 year old!
I have just listened to this, very Johnny Cash and a bit of a backlash against the rich, very good indeed. I never thought I would ever say that about a Shakey track.

'Flock of Seagulls' were a bunch of hairdressers who were Stranglers fans. Their name comes from a line in a Stranglers song called 'Toiler on the Sea', from their 'Black & White' album of 1978!
You could have put 'Space Age Love Song', 'Wishing (If I Had a Photograph of You)', 'The More You Live the More You Love', 'Transfer Affection', 'Its Not Me Talking' or 'Telecommunication' there and I wouldn't have batted an eye. All awesome.

Not necessarily my favourite song of the moment, but a guy from work is in a band called The Bracknall. They seem pretty good so not sure he'll be at my work for much longer!

we've been to Aberdeen, we hate the Hibs, they make us spew up, so make some noise, the gorgie boys, for Hearts in Europe.

Not quite a case of "If it's me and yer granny on bongos, it's the Fall." But this will do.
