Was there anything positive about the way we played etc or am I just clutching at straws?  Actually, it doesn't matter is there was, we still fucking lost!

We lacked tactical nous and defensive strength. Story of our season. Oh and it's easy for a team to defend against us when they only have to ever think about one striker.

We were still putting in effort at 2-0 down and got the reward to go 2-1. At least that showed a bit of fight. That's the most you can say.

The good news is they probably won't need to think about him for much longer reading between the lines

Yet another negative 4-5-1 formation, playing for a point against a side who haven't won in months before today.

Smith 6 - not sure what he could have done about the goals, made some straight forward saves and didn't do much wrong apart from a fumble near the end.

Caddis 6 - impressive going forward but always looks shaky at the back. Linked up well with JPM in the second half.

Cuthbert 5 - Found Hoskins hard to deal with but got more solid as the game went on.

Lescinel 5 - fairly dominant in the air but like Cutbert struggled a little with Hoskins.

Sheehan 5 - Huge fuck up for their second but got forward ok and tried to make amends.

McGovern 6 - below average first half but picked up in the second and put in some good crosses. Took the goal very well.

Douglas 7 - easily our best player, always working hard and played some superb balls in the second half. Has to be one of the best midfielders in this league.

Ferry 3 - by far his worst display in a Swindon shirt I thought. Was a spell in the first half when he gave away the ball about 4 times in a row, looked well off the pace. Rightly subbed off.

Prutton 4 - What does he offer? Not creative, not a holding midfielder and all he does is give away the ball and commit silly fouls. Won't be dropped, though.

Ritchie 5 - Tried to beat his man without having much luck, at least he gave it a go.

Austin 6 - put in a decent shift and came close with the headers, maybe should have done better? still, our only goal threat and we are fucked if/when he leaves.

Dossevi 5 - ran around a bit without actually doing much at all, not a goal scorer and will surely be gone in the summer when his contract runs out.

Why didn't Wilson throw on Pericard at 3-1 down? At least make an effort to get back into the match. Most managers would throw up the big boys in hope of salvaging something, but not Wilson. Clueless.

Rovers weren't great, but deserved the win as they were on top for most of the match bar the spell of Swindon pressure in the second half. Both teams are going to end up down the bottom of the table come May I think.

At least 2 players needed by the end of the month or we are heading for League 2.
