what the fuck do you mean, " he HAS disrespected the club and the fans"............. utter bollocks.

Wilson disrespects the fans a lot more by expecting us to pay to watch fucking Pericard every week, when we can go down the rec on a sunday morning and see more skillfull players, playing with hangovers.

Arsenal didnt drop Fabregas when he said he's like to go to Barcelona.

Liverpool dont drop Torres because he says he wants to play in Europe next year.

dropping the only chance we have of scoring against rovers is a stupid way to make a point, and if Wilson chooses that route (which he wont) then THAT is disrespectful to us by thinking we will travel and pay to stand in the rain and watch a below strength team in a relegation six pointer, just because Austin has said he wants to play at a higher level

I think you'll find we do more than we realise. Charlie's just been stupid enough to let his agent tell everyone

And given the shit we're in right now, I just want the points

As Andrew fitton quite rightly said "Charlie is a Swindon player until he isnt a Swindon player"

So the answer is yes.

I'd rather watch Austin when he doesnt want to play for us (and that is NOT what he said) than Pericard, who is physically incapable of playing for us

thats fair enough then, but my personal view is if you hand in a transfer request then you dont play for the team! No player is bigger than the team.

The whole situation has turned into a slight farce.  Tomorrow is a bit of a no win situation for Wilson.  Leave Austin out and we lose, people will ask why he wasn't played when he's still fundamentally a Swindon player.  Put him in and he has a bad game, people will point to the fact that he's not interested and doesn't deserve to play.  Difficult one.  Personally I would play him, purely because the options without are pretty dire.  He might feel he has a point to prove and let's be honest we're more likely to get something out of the game with him in the side.  The only other negative is how much him playing will affect the rest of the team ie are they are pissed off with what's gone on this week.  On the other hand, they can't get much worse anyhow!

I can assure you that if Pericard started putting in a tenth of the effort Charlie does to chase down defenders, and to get on the end of passes, and to try to create something, I would love him. Him being a crap footballer I can take. We have a few of them in the side. His total lack of effort is what galls me. the fact that some would rather see him in the lineup tomorrow instead of a half-committed Austin, is frankly preposterous

Charlie has disrespected the fans and the club. He could have had a quiet word, but no, he went to the press, over everyone's head, that is disrespectful. How many fans like him more because if this? I think you'll find he's lost many, many, many fans and why? Because he disrespected them...

The majority of fans loved Charlie, myself included, he is by far and away my favourite player for a very long time. His requesting a transfer makes me feel a bit cheated, like he never really gave a fuck. I can't be alone now in feeling a bit put out that love is not reciprocated and in fact we're nothing to him.

And with regard to Wilson disrespecting the fans by playing Pericard?! Grow up, and stop being pathetic.

you are entitled to your opinion, pal, even if that opinion disrespects ME (and calling me pathetic for having a different opinion to you ranks as disrespectful)
I am entitled to mine, though I wont disrespect you by calling you names (you cunt  Grin)

Loads of people on here moan about those who boo Pericard, but from the feeling I get, tomorrow many of those who moan about people booing Pericard will be doing the same to Austin.
Where is the sense in that?

getting 3 points tomorrow is all that matters. I couldnt give a monkeys if Sean Close signed for us tonight, if he scored the winner from the bench in the 89th minute tomorrow
But I refuse to bow to those who suggest we shouldnt pick our best player just because he has been rather silly (and nothing worse) in what he has allowed to get into the press

I'd play Austin, but I agree that the way he has gone about things leaves a bit of a sour taste in the mouth.

We all knew he'd go, maybe even this window, but now he's publically trying to force the clubs hand.

I agree Batch, we should play Austin - until we can shift him. But just to add, the sour taste he's left in my mouth makes me hope we're rid of him soon. I don't think his actions have helped morale within the team, the boardroom or the fanbase and that only rankles me further.

Yes I agree that 3 points is the most important thing in all this, but your making out that playing a half arsed Austin will guarentee this.
I cant really understand why you say he has not shown us disrespect? Handing in a transfer request is one of the most disrespectful things you can do to your club. He is showing contempt towards to club.
I for one hope we can get rid as soon as possible and move on.
