With the Charlie saga upper most in our minds, it appears that AFCB have their own problems with manager Eddie Howe. After stating on Tuesday, after turning down Crystal Palace that "He's going nowhere for the forseeable future" On Friday it seems the forseeable future was rather short and he's heading off to Burnley

Exactly football's different nowadays. A club will drop a manager quicker than a hot coal, so why shouldn't a manager drop a club with similar haste. I blame the Internet.

Sadly, REDBUCK and Barry, you are absolutely spot on. I consider it rather sad

The wage differences were different back then too. A similar move to Morrison's in the early 90s gets him a few more pennies, but the main attraction was better football. Now he doubles or trebles his wages. I'd do exactly the same. Blame Rupert Murdoch and man's inability to do anything imaginative with a Sunday afternoon....me being a guilty party.

There's no loyalty in accountancy either.  Or bricklaying, catering and chartered surveying.

Honestly, a footballer trying to maximise his earnings and improve his standard of living...what ever next?

There's loyalty in printing. Just before the compay I worked for went under, I had an offer to go and work somewhere else. Just goes to show what a deluded twat I am. So yeah, you can't tar everybody with the same brush Ardiles

Then again, if he'd lost six in a row at Bournemouth the fans would have been calling for his head and he would have been slung out on his ear.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's a total piss off but you can't really blame managers for moving on when they have the opportunity when it's such a cut-throat business.

Loyalty's got fuck all to do with anything in cases like this- he's not going to a rival or a club at the same level, it's a huge step up so why should he stay put?

Because without Bournemouth he might still be doing a bit of gardening...i hope he fails miserably.

The saddest thing is that people move around so much in football now that they dont get to finnish what they have started.

3 months of good form is enough to get a manager a job at a higher level.

As in every other job in the world, if you are successful in your current role, you deserve a chance to try your hand at the next level up.
