The first hattrick they saw scored by a Town player?
Randomly racking my brains last night and one of my most memorable games watching STFC was when we beat QPR on bonfire night years ago? Danny Maddix got sent off for them? I'm fairly sure Chris Hay netted a hattrick?
Bloody loved that night.

Good question. Although I'd supported Town for a few years prior, I think the first I actually saw was Big Dunc's 4 at Plymouth in 1991. Great times.

Ernie Hunt v Derby in 64.....Ernie was a class act....ace footballers name (he was really Roger)...ace haircut...ace walk. Proper Swindon boy.
I like hat tricks....4's/5's are even sexier.

Archie Bown... I once saw Dennis Brown score 4 at Dean Court. Saturday would be a good day for Charlie to do something memorable before he leaves.

Chris Hay's hat trick was v Port Vale... The QPR game was probably the one, where Craig Taylor smacked one in from about 25 yards, raising hopes he might be as good as his brother...he wasn't

Maskell in the season we went up. Against Cambridge at home. At the time we were the polar opposites, us playing pure football, them playing hoofball. If I remember rightly they sent players out during halftime to practise twatting the ball from box to box. Before the game started they were practising by the athletics track and from the southside we could just see high balls aimlessly going from side to side.

Not the first one I saw, but one that sticks in the mind was Steve Foley when we tonked Leicester 5-2. Great to see a midfielder getting forward like that.

I stand corrected. This was indeed the first hatrick I saw.

Mine was either the Ray Mchale one in the match that was abandoned against Brighton. Or the Trevor Anderson hatrick of Penalties v Walsall, whatever of those came first.
