Just got back thanks to the M23 being closed northbound, lovlely!

We were pretty poor and tbh i am pretty happy with a draw.

First half we were the better team and were unlucky not to go in ahead. The pitch was a difficult one to play on with players sliding all over the palce. We played far too much hoofball and never got our passing game going.

Second half, they came into a bit more and started to get behind us a bit. We still look shakey at the back but I thought it helped having Scotty back in the middle. Austin took his goal well after a long period of pressure but onece again we cannot hold out for the win.

Overall, we all knew it was going to be tricky, being the FA cup n'all. Im very happy with a draw, we rode our luck at time but went to a tricky place, played against a good team and got a good draw, also means we are in the draw and if its a big tie, it should motivate the players for the replay.

Also, not sure what happened but before the game (about 6:30) there was a sudden rush of people to dugouts where they started trying to resusitate someone (possibly a steward). Not sure what happened after that as they put up boards to cover the scene. Did they mention anything on tele?

It was also the coldest i have ever been. Anywhere. Also saw Jon Barnes and Lou Macari which was nice.

Seeing someone get chased across the road and rugby talked to the floor by the police after the game was also quite amusing.

So yeh, good result and we have every chance of beating them at the CG and hopefully getiing a good third round tie.

First of all well done on the Town fans who went tonight,,brilliant and a credit to the club..wish i was there.
Sorry chaps there is a lot of negative comments regarding the match....now i have had a few beers but i was pleased in the main.
Cuthbert and Morrison were outstanding..Pericard and Austin look good also.
For me though the midfield let us down....JPM,Prutton and Timlin just didn't get going though they did work hard,
Good result for me and i for one is looking forward to the draw on Sunday.

Yeh first half we were ok. 2nd half wasn't so good, but you wouldn't believe how cold it was, can't have been easy to play out there, the pitch was freezing over before our eyes. Good turnout from our fans. Dont believe the official figures, there were guys selling comps for a tenner in the half moon that would have counted as home tickets. Not a bad ground at alloverall , and the bogs were lovely and warm. Stewards let us out for a half time fag so top marks there also. minus marks for letting their little chavvy boys to one end, they'll need to learn a lesson there if they go up, and the catering although the effort was there 2 people in what was really an indoor hot dog stand won't cut it either. All in all though pretty good, been to far worse grounds certainly at league teams.

I put a fiver on crawley winning, as a safey net. this was the worst result

the 4 in midfield were wank, as were morrison and rose. we deserved to win over the full 90, but we just cannot defend. tubbs figured out morrison and rose are awful - play inbetween them and pick up all the lovely free space of grass

oh well. we SHOULD win the replay. whether we will or not is a different matter.

Finally, wtf has ferry done to piss wilson off. Timlin seems like a lovelly fella, and I can't faul his effort. But he is frankly not good enough. Ferry gives a billion% everytime he plays, yet isd on th bench because of the cockney mick. sort it out danny

Has your hamster died recently Dave? I'm only asking because you seem to have turned into a right miserable cunt recently.

Enjoyed the first half, good atmosphere and a good laugh. Second half was more nervy and I was relieved in all honesty to come away with a draw.

Those that are suicidal because we drew with non league opposition: remember Histon?

Its a good result. It was all set up for a Crawley win and we didn't oblige. I thuoght we were the better team over 90 mniutes and created more chances. I don't think either team played well but its a Cup tie on a freezing cold Friday night in front of the cameras.
I thuoght Prutton played well and was my MOM. He was about the only player who was challenging on the edge of their box and his header led to our goal. Ritchie had a good first half.
Now the negatives. JPM didn't turn up last night - a couple of decent crosses and a couple of crap crosses. It was a bad day at the office for him and he has not looked very good this season. Now for the 2 chances they had - where was Rose? Do his free kicks and occasional class cross outweigh that defensively he really is bad?
I'm happy to be in the draw and hopefully we can finish the job off at the CG.
Oh and Steve Evans really is a cunt.

Timlin's been doing well in the last few games. A lot of fans have been saying play the players who are performing and rightly so.

If they slip up on form, give other players a chance.
