Waiting for ITV News, will they claim weve won the test already?

Although Ive got some sympathy for Ryan Harris, I dont think any of the replays actually proved he wasnt out. The hotspot on the bat was tiny, and only visible once the bat had stopped moving. You couldnt see a mark as the ball went passed.

Warne seemed to be making out it had taken a massive deflection, it was the smallest of feathers, hes almost completely missed the ball, its a shit shot, thats whats done for him.

Short memories...Strauss got a shocking decision in Adelaide last series...the match we threw away,he was playing well at the time.

The thing with the Ryan Harris decision is that the 3rd umpire has to have a very good reason to over turn the decision of the on pitch umpire. Even if he did see the hotspot, it was so small there wasn't enough for him to reverse the decision and the same applies to the minor deviation in the path of the ball. The same is true with LBW decisions - the ball has to be on a path to fully hit the stumps to overturn a decision of not out - just clipping them doesn't count.

It was really weird watching it live last night - a complete role reversal compared to the last Ashes in Australia. They looked scared, lacking confidence and generally shit whilst England looked full of confidence and unbeatable. Obviously I'm biased, the same as everyone, but it really is looking like they're going to get their arses kicked over the 5 tests and we'll win easily.

These referal things are a joke. The commentators, no matter who is batting/bowling or commentating, always seems to say the umpire has done well and made the correct decision. I don't think it's happened in this match but when they come to show the hawk-eye crap for LBW's if the ball is clipping the stumps and the onfield umpire gives not out the commentators go crazy saying it's a good decision.

It fucking isnt, the ball would clip the stumps, the bails will come off. It's supposed to be out. I know they use the clipping of the stumps as a way to get around the errors in the procedure, but to effectively remove half the ball/the outside half of off and leg stumps means you might as well play with two stumps. I'm probably the only person who thinks this so call me stupid. I prefer the mistakes, they cause controversy, which makes for a more entertaining game.

On the Harris dismissal, i saw the spot on the bat. Jonny makes a point that the spot was too small to destincitvely say 'not out' - fuck me if the point of hotspot is to show the faint edges to make better decision here's some sort of proof that it's failed.  Warne was probably on drugs when he saw a deflection.

Not stupid, just a retard.

Everyone knows you'd be playing with 4 stumps if you were correct.

What are you on about? He feathered it? He ALMOST missed it? That still means he hit it, which means it's not out. I'll try that one during the season then... sorry ump, I only feathered it behind so I'll stay put cos a smallnick doesn't count?

Cook is playing like god, if KP really starts firing as well we really could bury them in the next couple of games.

Kick on tomorrow, bat for 50 overs and get runs a decent clip and then tear into em before tea.

I can't fully comprehend how brilliant this is.

Also, may I state just how tasty this Alistair Cook-branded Humble Pie tastes? Yummy- averaging 150 in the Series so far, just obscene.
