Ha, ha, somewhere deep in the bowels of TaxMan HQ, a red light has started flashing and the word has gone up "Scramble, scramble" as TaxMan and Robbin slide down the fire-poles into the TaxMobile to sort out another minor miscreant attempting to have it away with GiftAid.
For the record, I too can confirm I gave Fred a tenner in a spontaneous gesture of affection for the elderly. Should he, in his kindly elderly gent way, choose to give what is now his money to a charitable cause of his choice, that's his affair (and his money) and any such sum should of course be eligible for Gift Aid. Kind of like those old ladies who leave the lot to the cat's home, innit?
