Going back to the original article. Sean had a great game against Southampton at home last year, then had a complete nightmare soon after away at Walsall, hopefully he can do better this year.

Im impressed with what Ive seen so far, have to admit.

I like Sean and Scott Cuthbert, but I still think we need JFL back in there. We don't have anyone to pass the ball out of defense... we saw it loads of times with Sean punting the ball long and giving it away. I don't know, maybe the plan is to get the full backs to play the ball out, but that is tricky for them if we continue the diamond formation.

The quarter back pass was one of Greers strengths although it went largely unnoticed

We have looked alot more solid with Sean and Scott in there and they communicate alot better so I'm happy to take the poorer distribution as we are making much fewer mistakes now.  JFL is excellent on the ball but still needs to work alot more on his concentration and communication, I am happy with him as cover but feel we look defensively stronger without him.

I actually think we look stronger without Greer but do lose alot distribution wise without him.Although with no width and a packed midfield i would imagine Greer would of struggled aswell saturday to play it out.

JD should always be looking for the short ball from defense.

I see what you are saying, but I'd say at least 75% of the goals we conceded when JFL was playing were Roses fault... I wouldn't mind seeing JFL back in with a proper left-back next to him.

Problem is from what i have noticed is teams are sussing him out also a big part of his game last year was bringing it out and then switching it to our widemen. He can't do that now. This new formation is a real fucker because on one hand we are not conceding goals but on the other it has taken everything that was good about us last season away.
