I did think Coppell was a good fit for Reading Bristol when they appointed him.  He has already taken one club up to the Premiership on similar resources.  A lot of BC's fans seem genuinely stunned by this.

Edited.  I'm a muppet.
This has cheered me up seeing i work with a few of the Brisssle supporters ,did he not leave Man city just after they played us a few years ago

Not suprised. How would we feel if Wilson said "nah, can't be arsed with this" after 2 games!

It'd be ace....weeks of speculation, before disappointingly Sheena Easton doesn't get the job.

Does Coppell's record at Bristol (P2 W0 D0 L2) set a new record?

Coppell has said that he is quitting management.

but said, "I still feel I have a contribution to make to the game sometime in the future."

(He'll take a slightly less ambitious job in 6 months)

My source, who I don't actually know and who isn't a City fan, heared that Coppell didn't make the James signing, their chairman did.

Fact or unsubstatiated internet rumour?

I'm just listening to the PC, and Coppell spoke to the Chairman yesterday morning and resigned then. Board then decided that they had the perfect man in Millen to take over. If he was perfect, why wasn't he appointed after Johnson left in the first place?

He's only just got there! After Sol at Notts County, must be something about ex-Pompey players and flouncing out
