There is no way surely that he wil lwant to drop and play Championship football when there are premier clubs interested, and there is also no way Cardiff could afford his wages, they have just had a transfer embargo lifted and admit they expect another one soon
Rumour was Man City would continue to pay his wages. He is contracted to them after all.

Thoroughly nice guy, good on him, we should be applauding the fact he's joining his beloved club, regardless of money and the consequences, he's set up for life, but he wants to take Cardiff to the big time, fair do's to him.

His wife and kids live in Cardiff. Have doen for the last 5/6 years I think.
Quite how that woodentop in the scarf at Eastlands has decided he can't do without probably ther best player from last season I don't know.
But then he's also decided that Steven Ireland is shit so what the fuck does he know.

I'd have him at Swindon in an instant, as for the matter, Robbie Savage, Diego Maradona, Eric Cantona, Harald Anton Schumacher (the German head swiping chap), the Uruguayan hand ball fellow, etc etc. Long live the extraordinary, hail the legends:

I really can't warm to the guy but I bet the hundreds of African kids who benefit from his generosity can. At least he gives something back and doesn't gob off about it. He is a bloody good player thuogh as evidenced when he latched on to reeves dodgy back pass v Coventry some years ago and then followed it up with another.

I really don't understand the hostility, massively charitable guy, hugely passionate -do-or-die- attitude, controversial (and long may they live). I don't want saints in my football, I want troublemakers, kick-a-player-in-the-air, or go for the utmost, nothing to lose, slinky, weave and dodge, bang--------GLORY

That may well be true. But the rumour is Man City are continuing to pay his 90K a week wages. So I guess he's not on the breadline.

You have to question the state of the English game when a club like Cardiff narrowly escape a winding up order and administration, and just a week or so later are preparing to sign Craig Bellamy. If the rumour that City are paying all of his wages are true then what i've said is bullshit, but it still raises questions.
That said, i support the move, i honestly think what Bellamy's doing is for the good of the game. He can be a cunt and a prick and a twat, but the way he wears his heart on his sleeve, alot of players could learn from him.
The same could be said for Notts County after their failed takeover saga which apparently left them in shit loads of debt but signed a whole host of players close season.
