I'm probably in the minority nowadays but I'm still not keen of goal line technology.

Me too. The FSF survey of fans currently has it at about 45% not in favour, to 55% in favour. So the minority isn't as small as you think.

I'm not in favour of technology either...but I have no problems with an official behind the goal, similar to the UEFA Europa League Cup, where they should be able to spot them, get in touch with the ref and award the goal.
