Trevor Brooking is already warning that there are few quality young players ready to step up and
not to expect significant improvements with England before and during WC 2014.

Although i don't agree with every aspect of this article,at least this journalist isn't showing the
usual one eyed slant of the tabloids, with the 'blame Capello for everything' mantra with much of this
mornings media. He also comes up with a very interesting fact of just how few coaches in this country,
hold full UEFA coaching badges,in comparison to other European countries.

Oh yes, did I actually hear the commentator at one point say "How many Germans would get into this English team? 1? 2?"

I did mishear that, right?

If not, I'd have:

Neuer
Lahm
Mertesacker
Khedira
Schweinsteiger
Ozil
Podolski
Klose
Muller

So 9, actually. Surely at least 6 of those there'd be no debate for?

I thought I'd wait and reflect the day after with a calmer head on but I've just seen Andy Gray on SSN giving his opinion and all I can think is KILL !

I take your point about Harry, I hadn't really considered that side of it and I think you're right. Why not Hodgson though?

Don't know, I think he'd be a good choice but I can't really see the FA going with him.
