I was worried about Plymouth & Bournemouth being midweek, because there is the possibility (well, probability) of some fans punching each other upside the head, and kicking each other in the cock and bollocks. The rozzers get involved with the fixture planning for this very reason.

Just another example of the hoolies spoiling things for the majority.

You couldn't be more wrong.

Boxing day are the only games that hand picked by the OB and transport folk.

Do you really think we're playing bournemouth on a Tuesday cos of trouble? Most major derbies are on a saturday, and even things like Millwall at Bristol City is, and there will be far more trouble there than when we head to bournemouth. I don't get where on earth you're coming from?

Theres been margianally more trouble with Brighton over the years than Bournemouth.

Brighton had a go down the bottom of Town the other year. Bournemouth have never dared do that.

Cracking first game.

Havnt got a clue what 'One f in fitton' is on about Bournemouth and Plymouth? I think there is only 1 club I have my suspicions about with Police interference is Swansea. Weve not had a saturday fixture there since 1996. Exeter home and away last season was a bit fishy.

Fact is there are so many southern teams that some tasty fixtures are going to have to be tuesday games.

Millwall vs Bristol City first game suggests there is less Police influence in opening games, not more. Not forgetting our first game with GILLINGHAM last season! All in all, you dont know what you're typing.

I dont mind Hartlepool. You can create a decent atmosphere with a small following.

Without terracing, you cant do that most grounds now.

Looks quite hard to start off, but the run in looks easyish...at the moment. Pissed off about Exeter and Bournemouth dates. Looks like my first away will be Carlisle due to hols. Up for it again Donkey?

Given I now have a season ticket, I would say quite unlikely.  It also cost me about £100! Great day, though.

What a complete load of old fuck the fixtures are. Bollocks, I'm not happy. The best away weekends have been screwed.

South West/South Coast Safaris

Plymouth (Minibus? Train?) - NO, TUESDAY NIGHT
Exeter (Minibus? Train?) - NO, BOXING DAY, FAMILY RULES
Bournemouth (Minibus Away Weekend?) - NO, TUESDAY NIGHT
Southampton (MINIBUS!) - YEAH, AWAY DAY

Novelty Factor

Sheff Wed (Minibus/Away Weekend?) - YEAH, PROBABLY - BUT A BANK HOL MONDAY?
Dag & Red (Train?) - YEP

Must Gos

Brentford (Train?) - YEP
Peterborough (Drive then train?) - IN OCTOBER. GROAN. WHY NOT SEPTEMBER OR APRIL/MAY?

I like October, which is so named because it was the eighth month in the Roman calendar.

For all the geeks. The forum won't let me upload a .csv file so open in Notepad, save as .csv and import to your calendar of choice.

Yes, only if your iPhone is currently set up to sync with a calendar (e.g. Outlook).

Personally, I have an exchange account set up for Google which syncs my mail, calendar and contacts over-the-air rather than having to connect to a PC to sync.
