this was mentioned in the away fans section, but a good read.

I went to see Metz play Tours in the French second division  on a Friday night a few years back and there was 8 tours fans there.

Luxury. I was one of 6 STFC fans at Huddersfield on a freezing Friday night in winter 82-83. I believe Chalkies Shorts was another. The away end at Leeds Road was closed for repairs so we were shoved into the top of the home enclosure with one plod for protection. Not a nice atmosphere and we were glad in the end to lose 3-0 and avoid a lynching. Still the only time I've got hit though, to date.

This picture of a fireworks display in today's Adver.

http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/resources/images/2254841/?type=articleLandscape

It was taken from a house in Stafford Street, Old Town - the street I used to live on until 1999.  You're only about half way up the hill at that point, but the views are panoramic and still stretch right across town.  From the upstairs windows, I used to be able to see (in various directions) the Renault Building, the development sites in North Swindon and the County Ground.  I still miss that view.

I have a fantastic view over Bangkok. I'm on the 7th floor and I'm quite far out, but there's very few tall buildings between myself and the city centre. They had celebrations the other night for the kings birthday and the whole city was lit up with fireworks. It was one hell of a sight.

The geography of Bangkok confused the hell out of me when I was there.  Such a jumble.  Where abouts are you (roughly)?

Onnut. It's among in the higher numbered Sukhumvit sois in the city bordering on the outskirts. A few miles away from the city centre but close to a skytyrain which makes getting about dead easy.

My brother in law spent a lot of time in the Alder Hey hospital as a youngster and is a Liverpool fan simply because of the player's regular visits.
