First time back in the saddle for nearly a year and managed a respectable 10 miles without too much trouble.

Happy with that.

How was the bike ?

A lot easier to ride than my old Halfords jobbie. Think I need to have a play around with the pre-load on the front forks, gave them a couple of clicks before I went out but they were probably too stiff. I do need to invest in some padded shorts though, the saddle was a bit firm.

Got through an hour of 5-a-side this lunchtime without pulling my hammy or worrying about my knee... had a pretty good game too. Icing it now as the knee is a bit sore/swollen, but there could be a bit of light at the end of the tunnel.

Good luck to you.  Your knee has been a problem for a long while now.

great to hear. when I upgraded to my trek the difference was huge.

Get some good quality shorts not cheap karrimor shite. Get Altura/Edura or DHB from wiggle. you won't regret it.

Really? Hugo Lloris for £10m or so looks like an absolutely brilliant piece of business. When Redknapp was there I would agree but that seems a touch unfair.

Watching Chelsea getting thumped by Athletico Madrid, they're 4-0 down after 60 minutes.  Cheesy

Off to Prosepct fete with wifr and kids. The kids are under orders to dump as much cash as they can. its one of those days where you shovel the money into their hands rather than tell them they don;t want to go on anything.
