Being 24 days in to No Beer January and not really missing it.

I stopped drinking for a couple of weeks a few weeks ago.

Didn't touch a drop, asides from at weekends, and found it surprisingly easy. I didn't miss it in the slightest.

I had a problem though in that I just could not sleep. Not sleeping means I am unable to work = no money. I'll give it another shot some time but will tie it in with exercise and stuff to hopefully sort the sleeping problem.

realising the guy who failed to flag Benson offside against Wigan lives down the road.

I'll shake his hand next time i see him, i doubt he'll see the funny side...

Released without charge. Bloody typical despite being caught red handed.

"The pair then got into a fight which ended with the intruder lying face down in the mud outside the house in Witchards, Basildon, just as police arrived."

It doesn't sound like he's done too well out of the whole thing mind.

But yeah, BO's explanation sounds feasible. "Certain background information" indeed...
