It's a forum - a place for rambling.  People do take stuff quite personally.

Post something that is perceived by many to be controversial and you'll likely get some adverse reactions, so be it.  Last time I check, nobody has stopped anyone posting controversial stuff, or having opinions that seem absurd to me.  They just post and people post back.
