I did my response driving course in a 1600 Cavalier and that was quite tasty so the SRi must have been interesting.

Had a 1.6 cavalier as my first car and traded it in for the 2.0 SRi 2 years after. If I recall correctly it was the last year of them before cats were fitted as standard so yeah it went like stink at the time, certainly left the XR3i lads behind!

Yeah we’re going back to the house next weekend to continue with the clear out so hopefully the keys will eventually be found as currently the car is locked. Assuming that the car hasn’t moved for over 20 years I probably expect everything is seized up anyway but you never know, would give me something to tinker with until the football season starts.

Are you aware of the automotive journo Jonny Smith? https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCf2rpBEOs5jglV2YxmKD8hw his Late Brake Show YT channel does a handy line in barn finds, I guarantee he'd be interested in this, give him a shout! https://twitter.com/Carpervert https://twitter.com/LateBrakeShow

Buying a mk5 golf gti on the weekend.

Absolute quality car and certainly a keeper.

My eldest has today officially become a qualified language teacher, after taking himself out of the commercial world and funding his year out of the workplace himself. Proud dad alert.
