30 year old 1kg tub of Swarfega bought from Hersham Hardware in Walton on Thames. Still works regardless of the fact the gel has now liquified over time. At the rate I use it it should see me out for another ten years.

Not really sure those are of the same ilk. Nicer cider out there than Thatchers, but as mass produced stuff goes it's miles ahead of Strongbow/Blackthorn/any beer company attempting to make cider, no? Since you didn't ask, mass-market on tap cider tiers: Top Tier: Thatchers Gold, Haze etc, Aspalls Mid Tier: Magners, Bulmers What do you have in bottles tier: Strongbow, Blackthorn

If your local serves white lightning on tap, it must be an interesting place!

I generally drink the fine locally produced ciders down here in the south west rather than the mass produced stuff.

Or it will do the job, if inebriation is the desired outcome?
