That the Brooks Coulson affair story is finally in the public domain,  although surprised the media haven't made more of the fact that her other half at the time was Ross Kemp!

I'm surprised as well.

She really isn't going to come out of this with an ounce of credibility left.

Is it bad that I was contemplating putting her in the 'Birds that you really shouldn't but...' Thread?

Probably not although it was such common knowledge I wonder how much further she has to fall.

But he could see things were about to kick off, so he got out of there.

Firefighters did chose a career in which they were facing risks. They also chose one in which they knew their pension and retirement age.
If we expect our firefighters to work longer and get less for it, then perhaps they should only deal with less dangerous fires

People are quick to criticise those taking industrial action but what we are seeing are the standards of work being driven down by the government. People are having to work longer and for less too.

Goan cleaning staff in Swindon at the hospital have voted by over 98% to strike. These are people doing jobs that none of us want to do and they've had enough.

Firefighters going on strike in early November probably isn't going to maximise your chances of sympathy from the public.

Coming over to sort out my Dad's probate, to find a kitchen cupboard full of very large jars of Branston Pickle - apparently it said in the paper that in future they are to be manufactured in China   Smiley

I nearly didn't get past the abject failure to use English in the first two words. But it was worth persevering for the bit about firefighters facing the same risks "everyone takes on a daily basis". Really? When I go into work, I sit at a desk and type for a bit, have some meetings, have lunch, type for a bit more, then go home. I don't usually have to run into burning buildings or use breathing apparatus to avoid suffocation. Although some of the meeting rooms can get a bit stuffy so we sometimes have to open a window.

Lucky you. I've sustained two head injuries in my first month at this job.
