Just enjoying a Grimbergen beer bought back from France. 6.7% now I know there are stronger ones on sale here but to be brutally honest, they taste shyte, this however is real Abbey style beer, though has some way to go to beat the real Belgian stuff.

I had my first Trappist beers in Ghent last week en route to the F1. Truly spectacular.

The wall of beer in Bruges is pretty cool.

When me and a couple of mates went to Brussels on the lash we played the A-Z game where we tried to get through the alphabet, it was quite funny as one of the guys kept getting the rocket fuel (10% plus) while I would get the more reasonable 6-7% stuff. Needless to say by the end of the night he could barely stand!

Ha there's a pub near us that used to (may still) have about 50-odd malt whiskies and I kept trying to go through the Alphabet there. Kept getting stuck on G though for some reason Smiley

The owners response to the trip advisor comment. Love it.

If you have not already found it, I would recommend The Lowlander in Covent Garden.  Tressle table pub specializing in Dutch and Belgian beers.  Guaranteed headache the following morning, mind.
