My take (and it could be wild) is that it's the same reason that the roads are so shit. Cars have got heavier and more complicated and there are a lot more of them, but the services that are available haven't increased to the same level.

Sorry that's a bit rambly and maybe doesn't make sense, but here we are.

They have got heavier on average but that's only due to cars being bigger {than previously, in the UK and Europe}, so a lot of the components generally are heavier like brakes, tyres etc. Especially with so many {unnecessarily so} ''Wanker Panzers'' on the road now. But may I present to you the Citroén Oli? It's like the Ami on steroids - or essentially like a modern EV car just much lighter at only a thousand kg. I like the fact that it only tops out at 70mph too

https://www.carwow.co.uk/news/6379/new-citroen-oli-concept-price-specs-release-date#gref

Ok, so it's a concept car but I'm certain many of the features will be implemented into future cars. Which could see the average weight of cars drop.

Rambling? Welcome to my world you great big melon. Also, are we calling you ''Bobby Two Jags'' now as well?  Cheesy

Ive got a 2018 car and a 2008 car and the mechanic at my local garage told me he much prefers to work on the older car as it's mechanically more straightforward. Therefore my diagnosis of that is that servicing modern cars takes longer and there are way more of them. I imagine Kwikfit haven't expanded so much that they could continue to offer the same service in the nineties.

Sorry that's a bit rambly and maybe doesn't make sense, but here we are.

The reason our roads are so shit is because of lack of investment. Used to always see tarmac gangs out back in the day. Roads are a bit like the forth Bridge

Absolutely. And repairs, when they finally get done are basically patched up half arsed efforts that dont tend to last very long.

I sold a players shirt on eBay, then stumbled across a post on social media from the buyer thanking the player for the amazing gift, pretending that he knew the player personally and that they had given him the shirt.
Are people so desperate for attention that they will make up any lie to get a few likes and have their ego patted?
I just don't understand that sort of behaviour

Couldn’t you add a comment as to how you sold a shirt exactly like that recently- you know, in a “who’da thunk it” kind of way?

It’s getting fucking worse with twatty drivers on the road.

Fuckwit number 1 ran a red light on the Chippenham/Melksham road at the Lacock traffic lights - judt missed me

Then, not 2 minutes later, some old twonk pulled out of a side road completely oblivious to me coming along - rammed on the brakes, honked horn, time honoured hand gesture and off he goes on his mind-fuddled way.

The Iranian military twitter account posting as if they are a football admin. Showing a picture of Tel Aviv in smoke under the caption 'we've arrived'. Edit - seem its not an official account so ive been too quick here, not for the first time! Head Hurts

Is there anyone not at war at this stage?

Lest we forget that China have been pushing the envelope with India recently.
