Interesting idea. Are all bottle tops a standard size though? It is really annoying that they do that...

If you take a bottle top of any pepsi type drink (Fanta, Seven up) they will fit the ones sold at the ground.  We have been doing it since they started taking them away, just pissed off that I left them in the car on Saturday & then managed to knock the bottle over.

Whats more annoying is that quite a few away grounds are happy to leave the lids on

Yup.

I see coke are tethering their big bottle lids to the bottle with a plastic tag attached to the lid. Presumably to force lid and bottle to be disposed of/recyled together.

Wonder if this catches on we'll see them keep the lids on.

In any case its easier and cheaper to smuggle on in from B&M bargains. At least that way you don'thave to queue for 3 weeks to get served.

Defo Moonraker. Nods, at cultural reference and cunning guile of the Wiltshire faithful.

Whilst some might use it to mock (thinking that Wiltshire folk genuinely think the moon exists in the lake) it actually just questions their own rationale and is probably them who would probably get fooled if you sent them for a tin of tartan paint.

Moonrakers all the way. Would love a Moon and a Rake incorporated into the current badge. Get rid of the Robin and have two rakes crossed over with a moon above and a lake below in the top left quadrangle!

Thought you might like to see this Bamboo, good moonraker references in this old army cap badge.   Yes

Interesting I have never seen one of those badges before I only know the very famous Victoris Cross style badge for the Wiltshire regiment.

Yes, that would be the one attached.

The moonraker badge is from the late 19th century, 1st Wiltshire volunteer rifle corps.

All on display in the Wardrobe Museum next to Salisbury cathedral, went a few years ago.  Too Cool

Stops them being found out if they say something a bit contentious a'la John Terry?

Mostly because big clubs employ lip-readers who go through footage of opponents to see if they can pick up some tactical information.

Nice! I love it. And similarly to Mr Venkman, I was wondering about the more Victoria Cross based one normally associated with Wiltshire.

I would genuinely love some form of rakes and moon to be factored into the club crest. I know I piss about with the badge in my avatar but that was to signify the disarray the club was in during Power's deconstruction of the club. It's been improving slowly but surely and this is to reflect the improvements being made by the club (I'm not always against everything the club does). The badge isn't back to it's "best" yet but I added in a fun Moonraker element and have obviously put the former employees on a train to Crawley (and The North)! As well as this there is the addition of Morris with "Morris Ball" and Ed Brand lurking behind some nettles and a knackered old footy is rolling away to hopefully mark the era of some better footballing nous. Although the year established hasn't quite lined back up yet and the tagline of Town's motto has been toyed with to reflect a certain Technical Director/Transfer Wizard/The Mike Brewer of Football etc with "Salubritas et Sandro" but all in all, just some harmless fun :

I see what you did there with regard ''Morris'' Dancing. I think if it was the traditional sort then it can firmly get in the bin but maybe some form of pre match ''Moonraking'' in the centre circle? Maybe two new mascots ''Moon'' and ''Raker'' could be introduced...although that may encourage the tanked up contingency that attend matches to show their own versions of a full moon...if only we all could retain the innocence of youth it might be plausible...anything is better than the Rockin' Robin Haka. Apologies in advance if RR does post on here, although it's more likely to be on twitter^ Pint

The country road I take to get to my local train station is riddled with pot holes which so far I have managed to avoid. Last night I was coming home and going a touch faster than I would usually do - the lure of picking up a chippy dinner egging me on - and whacked a dirty old pothole causing a puncture. Luckily I managed to get home driving very slowly sans chippy!

Just checked the council website and the hole I hit was reported on Monday, but hasn't been determined when it will be fixed.

Does that mean you can claim Bob?

If not, are you sure you didn't hit a different pothole you can claim on Wink

Driving home up north last night (from Swindon) I turned sat nav on and it immediately diverted me off the M5 on to the M50. Strange I thought, never done that before, must be an accident.

About an hour from home I'd still not drove a mile on the motorway and then it dawned on me that on the way down I told the sat nav to avoid motorways (it kept directing me back to a closed motorway junction).

Added an hour to my journey home. Although it was rather nice for a change.

Started culling stuff we won’t be taking back to the UK. Jeez, the crap we’ve hoarded. Shitty old clothes and shoes, my wedding suit from 2005, old blankets we used for poor old Billy the greyhound and some of the packets of food skulking around at the back of the cupboards - uugh!

We’re leaving everything single thing behind in the way of furniture and pots and pans and white goods.

God I hate moving.
