It's a trivial thing that mildly annoys me.

It's part of the reason this thread has so far run to 1,485 pages.

This one annoys me even more. It should say "S. WALES. BE PREPARED TO HAVE TO PAY TO ENTER THE LAND OF OVIS ADMIRERS"

Don't be silly. That would be a larger than a man thing with antennas, multi faceted eyes and six legs

I agree with Ardiles. I normally approve of the British, un-European way of doing things so they're as non-uniform and confusing as possible, but with things like fonts/aesthetics it's nasty.

Disagree. The quirkiness of this country delights me personally. That's (sorry thats) why the EU hate us.

We should have kept the old road signs, which had ENGLISH on them rather than this pan-national bollocks

This is a 'don't understand issue'

Wikileaks' Julian Assange is arbitrarily detained, UN panel finds - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-35499942

Not sure how he is being detained as he is free to leave the embassy at any time, although he may be arrested if he does that's his risk to take.

However has been interesting to see many on social media making a song and dance about the government abuse of the rights of a man who they seem to conveniently forget is accused of rape?

The 'rape' in question was actually consensual sex, albeit without a condom.

According to whom? I understand that under Swedish law it still a form of rape. Also forgetting the other sexual charges he has managed to evade due to statute of limitations?

According to the authorities. He is accused of having sex without asking permission to not use a condom which, in Sweden, is counted as rape. It was consensual sex.
