Ok rant coming on... "Mum friends" on Facebook that show off about how they exclusively breastfed their child till they were 6 months then pre-prepared (after reading 40 different books on weaning) 100s of different organic meals in expensive colour coordinated specially brought Tupperware boxes.
Each to their own but I guess I'm just not that kind of person and I don't wish to be made to feel like any "less" of a mother because I bottle feed my son and just wiz up whatever fruit or veg I have in the fridge that day for him to eat!
Rant over! Feel better now!

In a way, being judgmental is part of being a parent. Im guilty of it but at the end of the day everyone has their own parenting style with what works for them and if something works for you they dont worry what anyone else things, as long as your child grows up to be healthy then you have done no wrong.
Me for instance when looking for a nursery for Dani were not quite prepared for how expensive it was going to be. In the end my wife negotiated part time hours with her work and we were lucky to have offers from family to look after Dani the days she was at work. Because of this we got the talk about Dani not getting interaction with other kids and he will struggle making friend when he goes to playschool a few times But at the end of the day that our decision and our responsibility to get Dani to interact with other children in other ways than taking him to nursery.

Fell out with my sister after she put up all of this 'breast is best' bollocks, alongside loads more including stuff about co-sleeping being loving and controlled crying being child abuse. Pretty much everything she said was bad looked like it was aimed at my other half, they don't get on particularly well anyway so it's not a big leap.

Some of my colleagues think it's odd/unfair that I split with my ex-wife when my boy was around 18 months old, and that I'm re-marrying in April next year to a lady who I've known for 20 years.. The thing that they fail to recognise is that I now get on with my ex, as does my other half, and that my boy is far better off having 2 happy homes rather than one miserable one.
People are so judgemental over parenting skills.. sometimes its healthy, and even helpful.. sometimes it's just ridiculous. I mean, we live in a world now where break-ups are move conventional than not.. obviously I wouldn't be re-marrying if I thought that this relationship wasn't built to last, of course.

It's good that you all get along. My parents divorced when I was about two/three years old and one of the most obvious things from my upbringing was that one of my parents couldn't stand the other and was useless at hiding it.

That sucks.. Yeah it's so much better for little man. I mean, my ex will drop the boy off to my other half if I'm at work and he will have a sleepover with her etc.

The lyrics to Motorcycle Emptiness by Manic Street Preachers... Sounds like he's constantly slurring... Decent song though.

With most 90s Manics lyrics it's probably for the best that they aren't clear or they'd never have got any radio play...

I see yet another re-run of Can't Pay Wont Pay on C5 with the bailiffs sent off to the CG has got the usual suspects excited.
How can we even bid for Bradshaw if we can't pay our bills, being a favourite.
Jeez, how old is that programme?
