I agree its a ridiculous response - however it is equally bloody rude not tell someone that your kid is now not going to a party, I don't buy the fact that they couldn't get in contact!
I bet its happened to pretty much every parent here. And I bet we all moaned. But I bet none of us have sent an invoice/instigated small claims proceedings either! I wonder if there is a bit of a personal grudge between the parents involved or something. |

I dont quite see how she is out of pocket. She hasnt paid more because that kid didnt turn up, she paid what she agreed to in the first place. If they are anything like my kids, we tell them how many they can invite, if someone cant make it then they invite someone else.
