Revisiting the School holiday v extortionate cost of peak time holidays discussion.

Having booked this years holiday BEFORE we took last years I looked up the starting term times for September 2014 today.

Now i know we are due back on 1st September and we did not check the school calender for '13-'14 at the time, until today. Imagine my surprise when I realsied that we (£120 at stake here) would have to have our son out for a day and send him in on the 2nd! Then the rationale of booking the holiday at the time we did came flooding back. The yanks go back to school on the 17th August for their term time start (we fly on 17th) so the prices drop considerably after that date and secondly we banked on a 2nd onwards start date or a TTD on 1st.

Bingo. Emailed the head this pm to enquire about one days absence due to flight times and also enquired about the 1st being a TTD as it has been most new term start days since the lad started their. Got an email back two hours later CONFIRMING his schools first day back is infact a TTD,  Pint

They probably would if they could afford to go back.

Most immigrants though spend their life savings to get here with the promise of untold riches, only to find the grass isn't always greener.

Blame the politicians and open border laws, not the people trying to better their lives.

As someone as just suggested on twitter, why don't Channel 4 do a programme 'tax avoiders street'.  As Tax avoidance is costing us a fuck of a lot more than benefit fraud.

Oh hang on I now why.  The schmucks who are on benefit can't protect themselves like the cunts with the expensive lawyers avoiding paying tax they owe our country.  And the government don't seem particularly bothered about chasing the rich, just demonising the poor.

I agree with this chap. The government and some media outlets are trying to create or even widen a class division in the lower echelons of society, and judging by some stuff I see or read, it is worryingly effective.

What the government want us to perceive: The fact you have to put money towards people on benefits is wrong, every one of them should be working for minimum wage or less for a company that treats them like shite. People who put more in the bank in a year than some will in a lifetime are the saviours of the country. You should fucking worship them like the pathetic dog you are.

Feeling a bit Dossy today.

Hardworking folk desperate to get work, compared to the British underclass smoking-drinking-stealing and shitting on their own doorsteps at the expense of the tax payers. Who is worse?
