My old man was still listening to Aker Bilk and Glenn Miller etc when I was into Led Zep and Jethro Tull.

Now I like, mostly, what my son listens to.

It's the same with jeans, you know.

Make a claim against the council. I know it's a lot of hassle but not enough people do it.

Mobile contract comes to an end on the 10th, so I call to see if Vodafone could offer me a decent upgrade or match a deal I'd found...they didn't do either, then said I had to give 30 days notice to cancel my contract. Can't get a new phone until 4th Feb now to replace my shitty BB!

Where i sit at work i now sit next to the insurance section, and in this area there have been plenty of claims recently, for either potholes, or dustbin lorries damaging cars. It may take a few weeks to sort out, but if you provide all the evidence it's definately worth putting a claim in.

I suffered a miscarriage a few days ago, which was a pretty horrendous experience, culminating in collapsing in A&E and being admitted.  Physically I'm on the mend and family and friends have been brilliant.  Spoke to my manager this afternoon to confirm that I'd be taking a few days off and he thought it appropriate to tell me that is wife was pregnant, but they weren't telling anyone until the 12 week mark, so could I keep it to myself?  WTF, why the hell would I want to know something like that given my situation especially since they're not making it common knowledge?  Complete and utter insensitive cunt.
