On the dual carriage way from J16 to Mannington roundabout, you may be turning right at the end of it, but there is no need to plod along at 60 in the right hand lane for the duration of the 2.5 miles of the dual carriage way.

People go on about people speeding but slow drivers are just as dangerous, especially on motorways.

Saw another 'stopped on the hard shoulder, so will rejoin by just sticking on the indicator and pulling straight back on' dick today. I'd imagine the lorry driver he pulled out in front of wasn't best chuffed either. There was a gap, but it tends to close rather quickly with  3 Mph v 56 Mph

I agree with a lot of the examples of bad driving given, but can anyone really say they've never done something stupid while driving?

Obviously some people are better at driving than others, but the conversation is always had between people who consider themselves the good drivers.

I'd wager that many on here commit the same offences that we all complain about.  In fact, I'd wager that most people who complain about a piece of poor driving have at some time been guilty of something similar.

Possibly but some of the things I see I would never do

Yesterday was approaching the roundabout by TK Max on the dual heading towards Oasis
I was in the centre lane as going straight on, the car on my left was indicating right so I slowed and ended behind him - at the roundabout he cut over 3 lanes of traffic to go around the roundabout.
Plenty of squealing brakes/tyres and horns going.

I would have carried on and doubled back at next roundabout but thats me.

The amount of bad driving I see is on the rise, not sure if anyone else has noticed that

It's an interesting comment, but what would you attribute this to?  Playing devil's advocate, driving tests are getting harder, not easier.  Younger drivers are being priced off the roads.  Is the standard of driving really deteriorating, or is it that we're all just getting a little older and less tolerant?  There have always been bad drivers.

Touching an electric pan to see if it is still hot.

Not one of my finest moments.

An electric pan? What is this witchcraft?! Does it do away with the need for a hob?

Natwest are shit. Just generally. Hateful bank I hope never to have to deal with again.

People's attitude towards driving/keeping your car in order is terrible. On long car journeys we sometimes pass the time shouting '£60' every time a car goes past with fogs on/lights out/grubby number plate so you can't read it, etc. (Don't know if that's still the fine, but it used to be I believe...) Traffic police are too busy stopping people speeding to do anything about it (not that I'm saying they shouldn't be).

Spending a large proportion of my working day on the roads, I see some shocking driving. My absolute number one main gripe is peoples inability to read the road ahead. Approaching roundabouts that are clearly empty but still stopping, poor lane discipline, waiting til thr last minute to get in the right lane for the roundabout, that kinda thing really pisses me off.

Oh and the right hand lane of wooton basset road at the lights by the bmw garage as you head towards the bridge. Everyone is waiting, why the fuck should you be able to drive from waaaaaay back down the queue right up to the front, especially if the lights are green? Most of the time I'll shift over to occupy both lanes if we're moving and someone tries it.

Oh and the driver of the dark coloured mk1 ford focus who drives down from old town past the magic roundabout and down past greenbridge who's going as fast as he possibly can, he's a regular and I see him nearly cause an accident every time. He does the usual drakes way greenbridge roundabout trick of trying to go straight on from the left hand lane. Fucks me right off.

That's what filter lanes are for, Leggett... Smiley I was always told to use that one especially in my driving lessons!

I know some of you take the piss, but I would highly recommend getting a dash cam. You can a HD one for around £30 now. You watch the footage and it's amazing the amount of things you don't see whilst driving. With insurance now being under scrutiny, and no-one takes the blame if you have a dash cam you are 'covered'. Even police use footage of evidence.
