Getting older and not being able to have a sleep in at the weekend. The mind is in favour but the body says no.

Know exactly what you mean. A few Sundays ago I was ridiculously pleased that I didn't wake up till 8.15!

+ another 1.

And due to the fact that my son started vomitting every hour and on the half hour since midnight it would very much be needed.

Before I say this I will emphasise that the events in Glasgow over the weekend are heart breakingly sad, scary and all involved have my gravest condolences.

But what I don't understand is the idea that members of the public wading in to try and save their fellow human, offers to give blood and a community coming together in Glasgow is any different to how it would have been if the horrible event happened anywhere else.

The politcians seem to be trying to spin this as some sort of community thing that is unique to Glasgow and that if it happened elsewhere people would have not reacted the same.

Was probably started by the news channels more than politicians
The next day every piece I saw on the crash involved a reporter asking a witness/bystander about people helping ppl out and even going into the building or how off duty police/nurses/fireman came to assist
Thought at the time it was a ridiculous question as that behaviour would ,as you rightly say, happen anywhere

The hoo-haa being made over Tom Daley announcing he's in a relationship with a guy. 1) who fucking cares, and 2) who's surprised?

Touching an electric pan to see if it is still hot.

You sound like me. There is no point but people think its cool. Not enough police on the roads in my opinion to stop poor drivers and poor driving standards.

As a sort of excuse I used to did this when driving a Golf VR6 and R32 as I found it was the only effective way to prevent people misjudging your speed and pulling out in front of you late when driving on dual carriageways and motorways especially when in the outside lane.

Did you have the optional indicators or not bother spending the extra?
