I like the quote from the Millwall Chief Exec: "That day against Leeds obviously there was an allegation of abuse made online initially. We investigated it straight away.
"We interviewed stewards, police, players, we looked at the TV footage too as it was live on Sky.
"After speaking to the player [Diouf] who had the alleged abuse at him during the day, he said that he heard no abuse so that was basically at that point the end of the investigation - although we're going to open it again now." So as long as the player doesn't hear the abuse its fine down in south east London.

Another quote from their Chief Exec:
'Sadly racism exists in our society and certain individuals want to bring it into football grounds. It's down to us in football to do more.'
And it's a good example of something that really irritates me about the way Millwall often responds to accusations of racism: spread the blame and generalise the problem. Very rarely will you hear anyone at Millwall admit the club's particular problem with racism...even though everyone knows it exists. Instead, 'racism exists in our society' and it is up to 'us in football' to deal with it. It's as if poor old Millwall is simply a victim of one of society's problems.
Both of those statements are, of course, true. But it's also a clever way to deflect attention. Yes, racism does exist pretty much everywhere, but it's a lot worse in some places - Millwall being one. Unless the Chief Exec at Millwall and others face up to the fact that his club is an outlier that has a particularly acute problem with racism in the stands, I don't hold out a lot of hope for any action that will help improve matters.

Who have you ignored? If I don't get an answer, I know it's me.
Who are you? I'll bet you can't guess who it is....

Lived there as a child (its where an pox youth player tried to get me to go do the building site with him promising me a watch. Paedo. I had the sense to tell my mum!) I can remember being at the ground and getting Trevor Francis's autograph as he was playing a friendly there. Sad to see any club go really.

Trevor Francis and Kenny Dagliesh were at Frome Towns ground today, something to do with Frome winning £50,000 from the football pool . The conditions are they have to spend the prize money within 90 days, looks like they have already started with ground improvements.

Valentines day.
How ironic that it has to be the most unromantic day of the calendar year.

More than mildly annoying, some stupid bitch just rang our front door bell waking the rest of the family up. She was pissed and looking for the woman who lives 5 houses up from us, she wants to give her a slap because like she told me 4 times " no one gets away with fucking around with my husband " before closing the front door on her I wished her the best of luck and happy valentines. ( the woman 5 houses up is a nasty piece of work )
