Asda running out of every type of bread by 5pm today, I thought the day the world was going to end had been and gone !
He he. Work was completely mental today - everyone buying double of everything "because there might be snow". One of the regulars took 40 cans of guiness instead of his usual 20 - just in case he couldn't get out for a couple of days.

That's ok, next week when the panic buyers are living off de-frosted bread they'll be plenty of fresh on the shelves. You can't have to much Guiness though Wiggy.

Woman sitting next to me on the train, furiously texting all her mates about the weather. I'm being nosey. So far she has described her panic buying mercy mission at Tesco last night and has gone in to great detail about the type of snow that's falling here ('small wet particles'). We all know we're going to end up with no more than a few inches, but you'd think she was about to launch an expedition on fucking Svalbard. There will be more like her when I get in to work. I know it.

Stereotypes are there for a reason, as a nation we have a bizarre fixation with weather, especially any that's slightly out of the norm. Think this sums it up pretty much - https://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/428358_10151352506584890_1309676116_n.jpg

Spending the last hour searching to no avail in the snow at our local park because my fucking twat of a husband somehow managed to lose the camera. It's not so much the camera I'm bothered about, it's the 200 odd photos from December, Christmas and New Year that hadn't been downloaded.

Being serious Jo, you should be able to hire a metal detector locally for about £15 per day. It's got to be worth it even if it's a cheap camera, Like you say it's the pictures you don't want to lose. Suppose it's a race against time before the snow thaws and someone else walks off with it. Good luck anyway.

It's in the case, so not sure it would pick anything up. There's a good chance it's already been nabbed. As soon as my husband realised it wasn't in his pocket he asked everyone else in the park. It was mostly parents with kids, but there was a group of older kids that disappeared quite quickly I'm not hopeful we'll see it again.

Not at all, but since this group made a sharp exit when my husband starting asking people if they'd seen a camera, you can't hep but wonder if one of them had it.
