Cheers. Could have been a lot worse. Shit my mum up though. The neighbours have been great help to her, really nice. Put a wireless Yale alarm in today for her, OK its not professional alarm quality but I was impressed for the money, £159.

With xmas being on a budget this year as we promised ourselves a nice lavish holiday next year, I awake to the news that the car is fucked and will cost several hundred pounds to fix. So I'm now back to square one saving for a holiday as any money we had put aside is paying to fix the car.

How the bloody hell Wichelstowe cost the council £45 Million.
Seriously, I don't understand how this cost the council money at all. Surely developers/section 106 money pays for the infrastructure.

And the development/infrastructure isn't even a third of the way complete.

The developers pulled out because they realised they wouldn't make any money on it because there isn't the demand so the council agreed to take on the infrastructure. Because Swindon needs 22,000 extra houses dontchaknow? Even though they can't sell the ones they've built and the existing developments are all stalled/massively behind schedule.

marvellous. Good job there was a sound contract to protect against the developers doing one...Thanks SBC.

I guess this is what was referred to in the Adver's £92m of debt article then: Swindon Council holds a £12m contingency fund to deal with the £1.7m interest repayments it is racking up each year. The cash was a severance payment from Taylor Wimpey to the council, in exchange for the council letting it out of a building contract.

There are 252 calories in a Kipling mince pie, and the boss has brought in several boxes.

Any diet goes to pot at my work around this time, we have an annual rate my pie in which everyone beings in a selection of mince pies to be rated on a number of criteria.
