I guess it's slightly more than trivial but... anxiety. 5 minutes of sanity would be nice thank you very much.

Dude I can empathise there. Needed happy pills to get out of my cycle of anxiety a few years ago . Hope you find a way out soon.

Thanks man, what was your experience like? I keep getting pains around my chest and left arm (I'm definitely not having a heart attack, despite the fact at times I convince myself I am)

Mine was more mental that physical, basically, and I don't mind people taking the piss, I convinced myself I was dying based on some minor symptoms. Thing is no matter how you try and rationalise it as stupid, it doesn't stop the anxiety.

The biggest symptom was not being able to think of anything else. It (irrational thoughts) basically consumed life..

It took tablets, blood test and an endoscopy to break it.

No idea what triggered it, life was fine then. Thank fuck it hasn't returned. Look back now and feel a bit of a tit given the number of people with real issues to face Sad

I've had a bit of that too. I've had palpitations a couple of times in the last couple of months and am now booked into see a cardiologist, it's since then that the anxiety kicked in. I was even getting anxious at the game yesterday, being sat in the middle of a packed block, no easy route out etc etc, playing on my mind, I was also worrying about the affect getting too stressed/excited about things would have on my heart, which led to me getting a bit light headed and anxious when I did get a bit excitable. Bit of a vicious cycle really. I'm gonna go back to the docs and ask about that though.

Whatever I say won't help. You are doing the right things and I can assure you palpitations are not necessarily due to a heart problem.

To put a smile on your face - re: the light headedness, I am not squeemish and I don't mind needles, but the anxiety situation and lack of sleep - well, ... I feinted having my blood test Smiley

This might sound stupid, but try listening to Paul McKenna's Supreme Self Confidence a few times.

Or any meditation - Itunes have got a lot of free downloads - I use them to clear my mind of clutter which in turn allows a clearer and more positive thought process.

Walking on a pavement with someone walking ahead of you in the middle. You try to overtake them and they weave in front of you. Walk in a fucking straight line!
