Cannot decide between staying here or returning to the UK. Blowing my mind
I had the same decision to make, six years away and have taken a job in Brum but still not sure if it's the right move. On the plus side I can see town play whenever the wife let's me.

Its a supermarket. you go in, you buy stuff, you go out.
Not sure I can find much reason to hate a particular supermarket.
Agree, although I could be forced to make an exception with Waitrose.

Do you have guaranteed work or study lined up in either place?
its a odd quandary; in the UK I miss certain things & places, but not necessarily people (my friends drifted away during my last months there, or I drifted away from them) but on the other hand here, I would miss some people very dearly but not the place. Life is a game of choices eh.

Living with someone who manages to drink 6 litres of milk in three days so I never have any milk when I fancy a cup of tea.

On the contrary, Waitrose scores every time for me. Aisles are never clogged up and never a queue at the checkouts whereas every other supermarket always seems to have minimal checkouts open with long queues at each which is enough to make me hate going in them.

Entering a 1/2 marathon thinking there'll be early trains to bristol on a sunday. Then finding out there isn't.
Looks like upwards of £60 on a hotel instead. Annoying

Run to Bristol and make it a full marathon. It's only about 10 miles from you anyway.

How early you talking about? Used to be early trains from the station in old field park and the bus starts at about 6am

I'm curious. Where do you go, then, for a better supermarket vibe?
Anywhere but Sainsbury's - normally Morrisons or Tescos. At least if you ask people politely to move they don't look contemptuously like you're a piece of shit to be removed from their shoe.
