Blue arrow recruitment ringing me and my friend late this afternoon to tell us they were no longer sending anyone to work at Cheltenham races!!!! Grrrrrrrrrr
After registering with the agency, booking time off/ rearranging all our work for next week - buying uniform etc!!!!
Luckily we found another agency to get us work but we now have to drive all the way to Cheltenham tomorrow to re-register
These bloody tips better be good!!

Fair enough. I take it you'll have to pay for travel too, so it must pay alright.

I know somebody that once temp'd at cheltenham races. Just serving and stuff. He said the toffs would leave 20-50 quid tipps. Plus unopened bottles of champagne

Sorry, probably not helping you feel much better am I?

Dropping a whole Derby Cake into my large Greggs coffee today in Coventry resulting in a catastrophic loss of a glorious moment.

The Monarchy.  Actually no - this isn't trivial.  It's massive. I just don't understand anyone who thinks the monarchy is in anyway morally justifiable.

The greatest burger shop in the world closing without notice.

after about a month seeming to reopen cue jubilation, only when we rock up find it's now got shit.

More expensive, none of the old stuff on the menu and it wasn't even open at 02:45 when we rocked up!

Gutted.

If anyone visits Oxford then Atomic Burger on the Cowley Road is the best burger I've had. Cool place too, lots of retro memorabilia. Only dicks do their eating loads of super hot burgers and triple portions of chips challenge though (I think they've given it a catchier name than that though).

I'll keep that in mind next time I go to a gig at the 02 Academy.
