Nope but I've watched Jaromil Jires' adaptation of The Joke by Kundera. It was alright, bit boring. Not keen on most of the Czechoslovak New Wave stuff, all a bit samey.
Used to be a big fan of his. I did my dissertation on him basically saying he was great when he had something to kick against but once he moved into exile it was just kicking against modernity and pretty dull. Whinging about music being too loud in restaurants. The film of the joke was pretty torpid, but I dont think he's easily filmable. |

Very political. I like it, the plot is broadly the same but the important comments on the politics, relationships etc etc cant really come across in a bit of black and white czech new wavery.

If you're doing Chicago style, referencing is a doddle as it's all footnotes, then copy and paste the detail from your bibliography (which is the first thing i write)
