Shop around then ring your supplier. I was paying £41pm for gas and electric. They tried to put it up to £91. So gave them a call, they then said they'd be able to reduce it to £71 if I gave them a reading there and then. I was at work so couldn't. So when I got home I called them back, and didn't mention about my earlier phone call. Eventually got it down to £61!
You're not "saving" yourself anything though. You're still paying the same amount per each unit of gas and electricity. In effect, they reduce your monthly payment and you'll just build up a bigger balance. In 6 months time they'll ask you to put your monthly payment again. |

I've had a similar problem Jo - sold 3 items to the same buyer 4 weeks ago, only when they had bid and won did I find out they lived in Fucking Russia. Trek to the Post Office to find postage rate as I had only given UK postage rates. Sent recalculated amount, heard nothing - 10 days later after another reminder they say they have been on a business trip and say that they will pay in 2 days and that they are genuine as I should look at their feedback. 2 weeks later and still nothing so have started dispute. But it's the feedback thing that really annoys me - why the hell shouldn't we be allowed to give negative feedback - that's why this idiot has good feedback FGS cos we aren't allowed to leave anything else.
I know, it's a joke. I sent another e-mail yesterday pointing out that there's been no phone call to arrange collection and obviously no payment has been made and to let me know if they didn't want the gym. Had an e-mail back within the hour apologising and saying she thought her partner was ringing and collecting it, but she hadn't spoken to him as he'd worked a night shift. She offered to pay via paypal and said she'd speak to her partner to find out what was going on. Heard nothing since and surprise, surprise no payment has been made via paypal. My guess is that he can't be arsed to drive from Hampshire to collect, but that should have been considered before they bidded. I'm more pissed off now, as I've given her the opportunity to say she doesn't want it and still it's dragging on. If I don't hear anything by tomorrow, I'm going to contact the next bidder to see if they're still interested. No doubt if I go down that route, I'll getnegative feedback by the original buyer and made to look like I'm in the wrong! |

Poor you - I closed my case today and it says that it will be noted on his profile that there was no payment, but it's still not the same as being able to leave negative feedback and yet they can leave it for us - it sucks!!
Having been on their profile however there is now mention of non- payment by me, but looking at their other feedback, there are a couple of people who have left negative comments on a positve feedback and they too mention non payment.
