Nation's League is glorified friendlies/watered down qualifiers at the best of times. This year it is incredibly pointless in terms of national viewer pride/ego massaging when the World Cup is only about 5 moths away! Good for player selection and internal systems/strategies to work on for the national setups though but that's about it for this campaign.

It's nice we're both a fan of Rick Stein, such a great seafood chef. I did love a bit of Keith Floyd - antiquated nowadays but he had such a "don't give a shit" attitude, which gave some level of rawness to all his shows. He was the type of bloke who wouldn't care for the order of what cutlery to use and when at a posh do, whilst sloshing back glasses of red and telling stories of wondrous Saigon haze!

I don't know what's worse listening to Graeme Le Sau's posh voice whining on or the kids high pitched voices in the crowd😀

The whole League of Nations thing is completely pointless. England haven’t performed in these glorified friendlies and a lot of people talk like Southgate has run his course as England manager. In fairness I’d much rather England bore everyone to tears in friendlies & qualification but show up at the tournaments (as Southgates England have done) than the opposite and walk through all the friendlies & qualifications and then completely fucking bottle the tournaments (any England manager 96-18)

I would agree if he didn't contradict that by playing his strongest team and setting up not to lose . I was one of Southgates biggest fan and was so excited by this current lot of players but you can see signs of Southgate reverting to past England teams and not going for it. I agree these players are absolutely fucked so why play them?

If England tried to play more expansive, attacking football we’d lose most games 4-3. We don’t have the defenders or the defensive cover to be able to do it

We kept a clean sheet but that Tomori was diabolical yesterday.

Still wondering what Grealish brings to the team apart from free kicks. Take Kane out of the team and we look weak up front with little or no threat.

Ok i don't mean gung ho but maybe something better than 6 defensive players on the pitch. We actually have the personal to be able to play a style like Liverpool perfectly. Don't get me wrong i inderstand the reasons why we have been poor recently but it was still boring to watch

We don't have quality defenders, so we try and compensate with quantity and hope that the small number of quality attackers can work something out at the other end. It seems to work more often than not.
Tomori played really well in Serie A last year, so hopefully he performs a bit better in the future.

Putting your best team out is one thing. Having them play 100% is another. Always seem like they’re in second gear (hopefully by design)
