PaulD, JoTeddyRed, now Flashheart - and they aren’t even dead. I think the question we might have to start asking ourselves is:

Are we still relevant?  Eek

All excellent posters that I enjoyed interacting with, shame they've decided to move away, hopefully temporarily.

Why is local news on the BBC not in HD?

After a brilliant day out at the Bescot yesterday I was disgusted to be on an escalator behind 4 pissed up twenty something blokes racially abusing 2 Asian lads. (who to their 'credit' did a brilliant job to ignore it)

With hindsight I really wish I had reported it to a staff member but in reality would anything have happened? It could have just inflamed the matter further. It left a terrible taste and really makes me continue to wonder how humanity can be so brutal.

*not that it matters, but I don't think they were town fans, think it was just 4 blokes going out on the piss somewhere.

I'm back in the office 2 days a week and there is a guy who sits a couple of rows behind who is on constant phone calls all day and has one of those booming loud voices that everyone on the floor can surely hear. I keep forgetting my headphones as well! Crash

I was quite desperate to go back into the office a couple of days a week.

we did one day and a) for caught in a traffic jam (poor sod hit by car) and b) like you, it was too bloody noisy. Made worse by a mix of office and home working so you had to Skype meeting anyway...

may not be a problem soon...

I don't know if I'm honest. A long story which I won't bore everyone with.

either way, out of my hands

Good luck Batch, hope it works out for you. I've been through redundancy and it's not nice but there are better times ahead. Keep as positive as you can do fella.

It depends on what your expectations are. Do you need to do the same job or you open to offers. Do you need the same salarŷ as your on now and are you flexible in working hours etc?

Two years ago I was Furloughed for the whole of May & June and at the end of constant worry I was offered the choice to stay or take redundancy. I decided to stay because of the uncertainty with Covid etc but if it was now I would take it as I'm 58 and been there nearly 33 years.
