Someone is doing something with the drains down my parents street today. I’ve not long dropped off the little man there.

2 big white vans. 22 traffic comes and 7 footpath closed signs.
Two hours and they haven’t done a single bit of work yet.

It’s a 13 house cul de sac ffs. It’s probably not even 80m long and the drains are at the end anyway.
Talk about overkill.

Apparently they were hassling shoppers in Morrisons yesterday and getting into arguments when customers said they weren't interested.

The Ben & Jerry’s advert for their cookie dough ice cream. Basically they are stuffing more cookie dough in at the expense of the ice cream.

Nope, will be to stop people suing the arse off them if they do something stupid and injure themselves. People like to blame H&S but if you want to blame someone blame your fellow human beings and their wish to obtain a quick buck.

Had the misfortune to work in a couple of public organisations where third party claims have come across my desk for comment, and some of the stuff people will claim for is frankly embarrassing (much as with modern politics being an ill-informed idiot appears to no longer be something to be ashamed of). As most of these bodies self insure they don't tend to context claims under a certain level (higher than you would expect) as the staff time is more than the payout!

The DVLA

I have a restricted licence due to a medical condition, when I was finally allowed to drive again after my year off they gave me a 5 year one which expires in January 2022. Got the paperwork through last weekend to renew it, did it all online just fine and dandy and pleased to get a new licence today, which for whatever reason only lasts until June 2022.......

Can I contact anyone to discuss, can I buggery, phone just tells me to call back, online chat thing don't work!

Happy days!
