He was also very helpful to the Trust for many years, especially when we (as a club) were right in the shit and staring down the barrel. As was Anne Snelgrove and Rod Bluh, hence why I'm more than happy to defend all three from ignorant twats who don't know what they're talking about (not you Si, obviously)
Oi,
So civic leaders should not show support for successful teams/companies/theatre groups from their town unless they've got a direct personal interest? He didn't try and crack on he was a lifelong fan, he just wished the team luck (yes, I'm looking at you here Messrs Blair and Cameron).
Oh, and your point, weak though it was anyway, might have had a tiny bit more to it if you were actually correct - he's been to at least 3 games that I know of.
Did he wish them luck ?
I don't recall it, someone obviously told good old Rod there was a game on then, 3 games in how many years, as said he is not a football fan, but credit where it is due I suppose he showed his support by attending the match with the new MP and ensuring it was pictured in the local paper showing his support, he's done his bit for another year
I'd like to think your comment above was not directed at me though :cunt:
