Losing my job for the second time in 18 months Sad
Shit! Only just seen this (otherwise I'd have said something this morning), really sorry to hear that. Happy to ask around if you're not utterly fed up of software development

No worries, your Manchester Road joke cheered me up.

I am slightly fed up with software, but mainly with the instability in telecomms. I'd sell my Gran* for a job that paid a lot less but gave at least the illusion of being more secure (software or otherwise!). With the world as it is the reality is more severe, but hey ho.

* actually they are all dead but you get the idea.

I was thinking that the other day and couldn’t think of a logical answer, it does tend only be on dual carriageway/motorway driving though.

Those lines on the back aren't to heat the window.

They're water magnets.

It's due to the aerodynamics of the car.

When air is forced under the car it compresses and speeds up, then when it exits from the back of the car the air decompresses and slows down again which causes swirls - in this case enough to deposit water on the rear windscreen.

If you had a (decent) rear diffuser it wouldn't happen because the air passing under the car would exit smoothly e.g. if you watch an F1 car in the rain, you'll see a perfectly smooth vapour trail exiting the rear of the car because of the effectiveness of the rear diffuser.

Lots of things today:

- Dirty smelly buses. What gives you the right of way over me?!
- Pot holes. I pay my road tax, so get them fixed!
- Stfc fans and their constant moaning.

God, I'm a miserable cunt.

Getting a letter from the water board saying they are switching the water off to our house from 8am till 8pm on saturday.
I wouldnt mind if it was during the week, but its the weekend ffs, and that means i have to get up early just to have a shower.

On the bus home from work, which was busy, a woman didn't get up off the flappy seats for a pushchair lady. I wanted to harm her, but as i'm from white suburbia I resorted to merely tutting under my breath
