I can match you on the early start stakes (5am for me) but I sacked the afternoon off and was home by 3.30pm.
Surely you should've just overnighted and put it on expenses.

I followed one home from the school in a Micra. Absolutely dreadful driver, no indication and kept hitting the brakes and jerking. Her kids weren't strapped in and she was so obviously distracted by one of them hanging through the seats to the front, she veered on to the other side of the road and nearly caused an accident.
