My uni has lost some of my coursework and want me to come in and have a meeting as soon as possible. No fuck you, I handed all my work in on time and some retard has lost it, that's not my problem. I'm not going all the way to London for that.

E-mail them a copy of what they have lost. Christ, even back in the 80's I was saving all my coursework to disks so I had a spare set if anything went wrong.

The fact that the FA can piss millions away at the top end of the game, but won't spend money where needed at the grass roots.

Middle child is currently on a mini-tour in Holland, and played a team in Eindhoven yesterday. One of the dad's posted this:

"Off to Marvilde to play the first match. Marvilde is in a suburb of Eindhoven and the home clubhouse enjoys bar, kitchen, small training area, 3/4 size pitch and full size 3G pitch (complete with electronic scoreboard) - the kind of facility every club in UK is screaming out for!"

I can't wait to see the hissy fit when they tell him he's not getting any marks for his coursework because he couldn't be bothered to go and talk to them about it.
It's all sorted, it was their mistake and they apologised.

Fuck yes. The worst thing is that they're not even final now- I've had a final interview today as the last stage of a process that started three months ago. Since then they've had a CV, covering letter, telephone interview, numeracy test, literacy test, psychometric test, assessment day and now a final interview. As far as I can see they make it deliberately arduous to stop you applying on a whim.

The most 'interesting' assessment centre I've had, they sent 80% of the people home at lunch time after some group exercises and continued with the rest of us. Mildly alarming!

I fucking hate the rigmarole that surrounds graduate assesment and interviews. I'm very glad I didn't have to go through that for my post uni jobs.
