I've got a divot in my head that turns into an ornamental pool when it rains, but I'm still going. Look, put it this way, these family whoever they are might be driving 200 miles but we might not get to Wembley for another 20 years. Are you really not going to get another chance to see this lot for 20 years?

Or if you're too scared to argue your case, do it the bottlers way. Buy a ticket, get your train/lift booked, don't tell her, then Sat morning tell her you're popping out for some ciggies, then text her from Wembley Smiley

There speak a man of wisdom. Brilliant.  Cheesy

There's not one single excuse is there really? Just another fact why this club will never acheive 20,000 supporters on a regular basis.

Got family visiting? I'm sure there still be there later in the day.

Been invited to a wedding? If there good friends i'd sure they would understand. ( I missed a mates wedding to go to Leeds away, we won 3-0, i've never questioned that decision. In fact people who get married in the season are cunts.

Biggest game in nearly 20 years and some of the excuse's not to go beggar belief. I know football is not life or death, its much more important than that!

haha spot on that man - no excuses here! if my missus invited her family down I'd get out for the day even if there was no football match on ;-)

Sure, it's easy for anyone clutching onto their tickets to give advice! Although, family reasons?  No Go sippo, go!

(as mentioned) I'm working: That's life, tried my hardest... They've made it clear and there's no staff to swap shifts with as all available staff are in (which isn't many).

Ultimately, I didn't plan for the Play-Offs and it's something I will have to regret until we got there again, IF we got there again! I must say I'd prefer to be on holiday so I could watch it in the sun.

Work has ruined this season for me as I've also missed all my nearest awaydays too (all wins!)... I am currently looking for new employers.

Fucking hell Sippo, was that a typo. Was that supposed to be two thousand miles rather than two hundred.

Tell me about it, I am even considering maming myself to get out of going to the wedding, a can spare a little finger....at least I could watch it on TV but as it is I can't do that cos the wedding is at 2.30pm with a sit down meal after Sad

you can do it JJ.
Few years ago I went to a wedding local to Swindon, saw the ceremony bit, then dived out to the County Ground for the second half and back to the wedding for desert.  to this day my friend thinks I was poorly.
Just fake it is my advice

Not that easy living in deepest darkest Somerset CT, not even any of the local pubs are showing the game around the place of the wedding (Thornford, Dorset)

Curse those quaint country pubs! Just TELL them that it's a match between the Tories and the Libs and that the winners take full control of the nation.

If I told them there was a debate about milking quotas or badger bating they would probably go for it!

...but wait. There's a chance I can get Saturday off. Lack of funds would prevent me from going (pay day Friday) but at least I can watch it on TV! Which would be a far better situation than I'm currently in.
