Maybe I read it wrong but I would imagine that some one who is prepared to go to those lengths to get to the game is going to end up with about 5 minutes of wedding footage and 3 hours of getting to the game/the game/getting back from the game..just guessing Yep, I totally failed to allow for that. That's going to be a great wedding video!

I now have a mental image of this nutter on the back of a bike in full wedding gear morning suit and waistcoat, flinging it off as he hurtles through London to reveal his red shirt and jeans underneath That's top work, hope he makes it As long as he doesn't meet Nez or Pinky he should be OK

I can get to London and back using the Megabus for about £30 which is okay.
I'm working around the clock at the moment to try and see what I can do.

I concur totally, it looks like I will be able to get out of the reception at the sis in laws wedding for the last 10 mins of the game so I can at least see the final whistle and maybe ET and pens if it happens.

This should have it's own thread as this is about not going to wembley..
Technically no ... as lunch should be consumed well before 3pm the contents of the sandwich boxes etc will not be going to Wembley (note the use of the capital W for future reference). Should you counterclaim that they will be there albeit inside those going to Wembley I would point out that having been taken from the boxes or wrappings and masticated they will no longer actually be packed lunches. Indeed, the term unpacked lunches would also be a misnomer since it is expected that their transmogrification into excrement would be quite well advanced. Hope that clarifies matters for you.

Indeed. And could the lunches be described as 'wembley packed' when in fact the vast majority would have been prepared at the consumers' home addresses ?

As we are getting down to the nitty gritty of this whole affair perchance the apposite moment has arrived for a divergence into a separate thread? Given that I detect your enquiry was of a rhetorical nature, whilst I wholeheartedly concur with the sentiment expressed therein, I shall refrain from pursuing the matter further in this apparently inappropriate location.
I would like to add, nonetheless, that contributions such as these last few posts have brought a welcome improvement to the football to bollocks ratio which has suffered somewhat in recent times.
