THere was an interesting post or two on one of the Scotland message boards about the kit design process and who gets what templates etc... I will see if I can find it. Basically went that Adidas worldwide is a different entity to Adidas UK. There are also three levels of sponsorship deals. Top one: bespoke kit is provided by Adidas worldwide. level 2 kit is provided by regional Adidas, and is usually a template but slightly modified (like new Scotland kit) and third tier is your straight out of the catalogue with your badge stamped on it, like us and every other lower league team has.

I think our home kit should be like the Real Madrid away kit but in Red with white. Check out the link below.

I would like to think that our kit would not be identical to City's. At the end of the day, the Slave Traders would not be any happier with it than we would.

Then again, I would have liked to have thought that, colour clashes aside, there would be no way we would wear anything other than red at Wembley...don't get me started on that again Suicide

It would run the risk of our players running round looking like they were wearing the WWII Japanese Imperial Army Flag

Quite apart from the distress caused to older fans like Reg and Fred, I think we've seen enough kamikaze defending over the past few years.

And it would knacker any chance of getting Honda on board as a sponsor (Don't mention the war crimes, and all that)

Seriously, STA's right. We won't be getting a look at the "big teams" catalogue, we'll get to choose one of the standard templates from the "Lower Leagues and castoffs" catalogue. If you want to look at big teams' strips for inspiration as to what we might get, you need to go back a couple of seasons as their templates eventually make their way down to our level

Most of the lower league sides who have adidas and nike get it through a third party and do not have a deal with the manufacturer, unlike us.

I think most manufacturers still have pretty strict policies about what level they allow which templates to go to, irrespective of how you get to them - the likes of Real Madrid don't want to be seen to be turning out in the same kit as us or Peterborough do they? Imagine the embarrassment, daahling

That's the same as last season's blue kit. So probably not.

true, but still doesnt change the fact that we will have to choose our kit from the catalogue as we arent a tier 1 or 2 club.

Anyone heard anything about the new home/away shirts? Dates, etc?

Really irritates not knowing their release date for some reason.

Well we have a game on 14th July, so it'll have to be some time in the next 2 weeks. Maybe it'll be on Thursday to coincide with the start of the new season? Or is that just wishful thinking?!
